A great weather, cool sea breeze and delicious food – there is much to cheer about at the latest season of Etisalat Beach Canteen which celebrates 15 local home grown F&B brands. Alongside a few familiar restaurant names like Moshi, Karak House, Mantoushe, there are a few brand new ones like Tori Matsuri – an unusual student run fusion restaurant concept by the students of The Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management; WOFL where delicious waffle sandwiches are created the Norwegian way with dollops of creative fusion; Khameer & Dough – an Emirati bakeshop doing a modern take on the traditional Emirati staple – the Khameer. Food apart, visitors can expect appearances from various celebrity chefs (we brushed shoulders with Chef Manu Fieldel of My Kitchen Rules), children’s activities and beach sports to the soundtrack of local bands and DJs. New this year is the The Best of the Dubai Farmers’ Markets and live Chefs Demonstration stage featuring talented local and international celebrity chefs. What have you been eating this Dubai Food Festival?
